Overview
This private two-day tour looks at the older, quieter side of the Kathmandu Valley. The first day is spent in Bungamati and Khokana, two traditional Newar towns south of Kathmandu. The second day goes to Changu Narayan, a hilltop temple site, and to Bhaktapur, a medieval city known for its art and heritage. Parts of these towns were damaged in the 2015 earthquake, but they keep their narrow streets and traditional character. Your guide and an air-conditioned car are only for your party, and each day involves about six to eight hours of visiting at a light pace.
