A ridge walk above Pokhara, mostly through rhododendron and oak forest, ending at the Upper View Point at about 4,250 m with Machhapuchhre and Annapurna South close enough to see the snow move. Sources disagree on the exact height of the viewpoint and base camp (4,200 to 4,500 m), so we say about 4,250 m. The High Camp teahouses can fill up in October and November. We book your beds ahead. It is moderate. Days are 3 to 6 hours and mostly steady uphill, but the last climb to High Camp and the viewpoint is steep and the pre-dawn start on day 6 is cold. You do not need technical skills.
