Pashupatinath Evening Aarti Tour
Experience the evening aarti ceremony on the banks of the Bagmati River at Nepal's holiest Hindu temple.
Overview
Pashupatinath is the most sacred Hindu temple in Nepal, and at dusk the riverbank fills with devotees for the evening aarti, a ceremony of fire, bells, chanting and music. It is one of the most atmospheric things to see in Kathmandu. Your guide explains what is happening and the customs around it, and walks you through the temple complex before the ceremony begins. Non-Hindus cannot enter the main temple, but the ceremony and the surrounding temples can be watched from the riverbank.
