Kathmandu Street Food Walking Tour
Taste momos, chatamari, sel roti and more as you walk through Kathmandu's old bazaars with a local guide.
Overview
Kathmandu's old bazaars are a good place to learn about Nepali food. On this walking tour a local food guide takes you through Asan and Indra Chowk, where spice sellers, sweet shops and tiny kitchens have been trading for hundreds of years. Along the way you taste around eight small dishes, such as steamed momos, chatamari (a rice-flour pancake sometimes called Nepali pizza), sel roti, lentil patties and sweet curd, and learn what goes into them. The tour is easy walking and finishes with a cup of milk tea.
